Puamau
“In Puamau, we live near the church and next to the football playground .
Our houses are opposite the seashore .The church is white and green and its
windows are pink. There ‘s a brown horse behind the church. There are lots
of coconut trees around the football playground
There’s an old house under the trees. |

|

Mr. Tarrats and Mr. Salvi : they’re so funny... |
Along the road, there’s a little snack bar with a
funny donkey opposite ! Then, there’s a small shop, it’s white and green :
it sells food and drinks.
The post office is behind the town hall and on the
same road, there are a big pool and a restaurant.
On the right of the main road when you leave the
village, there’s the school, near the beach. It’s small, and there aren’t
many children. There are cows behind the school.
There is no hospital in Puamau : the big white
house in an infirmary.
The Tikis are on the site, above the village, it’s
a very old place.
In the village, there are little rivers and
bridges, and beautiful gardens with a lot of flowers.
Puamau is super and very quiet and the people are
welcoming. |

A day in Puamau
On Thursday March 25th, the boys get up at half past four to
make breakfast with Pahu. At 6.30 a.m, we all have breakfast: tea, or Milo
with milk, bread, butter, jam, cheese and chicken with peas.
After breakfast, we wash up and clean the rooms. We are ready to work.
Some pupils walk to the site to do history with Mr Tarrats, and maths with
Mr Salvi. The others stay in the village to do French with Mrs Van Drunen or
English with Mrs Gilmore.
In the morning, it starts raining.
At half past eleven, we have lunch: raw fish with tomatoes, carrots,
cucumbers, onions and rice. “It’s very good” say Robert and Tea.
After lunch, some children play volleyball or football. Some pupils do
biology with Mr Chollier
|
Chollier. It rains a lot and MR Chollier goes back
to Atuona. “Goodbye, MR Chollier” say the children. In the afternoon, we
play rugby and football on the beach, under the rain: we like it! It’s great
fun ! We swim in the sea, too!
At 4.30 p.m, we have a shower and get ready to go
to church.
At half past six, we have a good dinner: spaghetti
and chicken.
After dinner, we play games with Pahu, it’s funny
we laugh a lot!
We go to bed at 21.30.” |
