Pupils of 3ème A, B,C wanted
to give their opinion about this problem, read their little interesting
articles and discover their way of thinking. At St Ann’s school, smoking is forbidden. St Ann school forbids smoking because it is very dangerous and it destroys the teenagers’ health. As non-smokers, we think that prohibiting smoking in our school is a good thing to protect teenagers from illnesses caused by the cigarettes. Besides this prohibition helps teenagers not to fall into drugs later. (anonyme)
St Ann’s school has forbidden smoking at school so the children would be able to have a good example and would not be influenced by smokers. Besides, smoking at school is BAD EXAMPLE. SCHOOL is made for EDUCATION, TEACHING and LEARNING. JT, SM 3ème C
* STOP SMOKING !!!At St Ann’s school, the principal has imposed strict politics concerning smoking. Smoking is punished and pupils are given chores. It is forbidden because it is harmful for health and pupils are under age. We believe ‘smoking’ is very very bad because it destroys our life. Besides this drug can lead to death. Yoanna and Laurence, 3èmeA
* DEADLY SMOKING St Ann forbids ‘smoking’ because it is dangerous for health and it perturbs pupils’ work. Besides some pupils break the rules and smoke in their classroom or they hide to smoke. We think that these teenagers have a problem in their heads although they are young. They do not respect the rules. Somebody must act against that and make them understand to respect the rules for the good of all. F. Catherine & B. Karelle, 3èmeA
*‘ SCHOOL RULES ABOUT SMOKING’ Smoking is forbidden at school because it is a real danger for health and you can die of cancer. But we know that teenagers have been breaking the rule because they can see their parents smoking or their teachers smoking. Besides ‘smoking’ is a big problem for lots of teenagers like drinking beer or smoking ‘paka’. Tahaia &Charlie
* School forbids smoking to protect our health, besides any parents or relatives wouldn’t like to see their children smoking at school. Fortunately, the rules forbid smoking otherwise they would smoke all day. Maybe, many children die because of that. Moreover, smoking is EXPENSIVE. MichaelG.
There are lots of pupils who smoke behind the buildings. Cigarette is bad for health and you can get sick and die. I agree with the school’s rule because the other pupils who don’t smoke but see the pupils who smoke, might be tempted to smoke too. I think smoking is for crazy people. I think young people smoke because they see their parents or their sisters and brothers smoke, they think smoking is fun. (anonyme)
I think school forbids smoking because it’s bad for us. I AGREE with the rule because it enables us to RESPECT the other pupils who don’t smoke and live in democracy. Before I used to smoke ten times a day. Thanks to the rule and also thanks to my father, I STOPPED SMOKING. P. Lydia Voc : a rule : une règle, forbid : interdire, chores : corvées, to be under age : être mineur.
